I was born in Copiapó, small mining town in the middle of the Atacama Desert, in northern Chile.
Education
From 2020 to 2022, I was part of the Ibáñez Atkinson Young Artist Program (FIA-YAP) hosted at the Teatro Municipal de Santiago, Chile. I also hold a Bachelor of Music (2020) with a specialization in vocal arts, having studied under soprano Viviana Hernández Silva at the Universidad Alberto Hurtado in Santiago, Chile.
Key experiences / artistic milestones and collaborations
Debuting at the Teatro Municipal de Santiago, the main stage of Chile, and performing throughout the 2022-2023-2024 opera season has been my most important stage experience. There, I sang roles I especially enjoyed, like Mercedes in Carmen and Zweite Dame in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. I also took part in Emilio Sagi’s production of Il Viaggio a Reims and had the opportunity to work with conductors such as Roberto Rizzi Brignoli, Pedro Pablo Prudencio, and Paolo Bortolameolli, among others.
My most significant milestone was the world premiere of Estación del Canto, a work commissioned by the Municipal Theater from composer Gonzalo Cuadra. I played the role of Helga von Kaverna, a beautiful character that I had the privilege of bringing to life from scratch. Additionally, being part of the inaugural Ibañez Atkinson Young Artist Program was a great experience, as it allowed me to connect with the international community.
Grants / Awards / Nominations
I was a semi-finalist in the Paris Opera Competition at Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in 2023 and in the Festival Internacional Ópera Laguna Mágica in Concepción, Chile, in 2020. Additionally, I was a finalist in Mujeres en la Música III, organized by NMWA at the Teatro Municipal de Santiago in 2019, an opportunity that was pivotal in advancing my career in Chile. Subsequently, I received a National Grant from Corporación Amigos del Teatro Municipal de Santiago for the period 2020-2022.
