Nothing can escape it, the cycle of the seasons. It has been observed, analysed, described scientifically, poetically and musically countless times. The Opera Studio of the Volksoper Wien is devoting its fourth concert in the Bassano-Saal to this central theme of the exhibition Arcimboldo, Bassano, Bruegel - The Seasons of Nature (from 11 March 2025). In a musical journey through the year, the young artists bring nature to life in all its facets: from the delicate blossom of spring to the oppressive sultriness of some summer nights and the luminous melancholy of autumn to the harsh silence of winter frost. The programme focuses on works that describe the changes in nature.
The six young singers and the pianist of the Opera Studio have developed this concert especially as a musical accompaniment to the exhibition at the Kunsthistorisches Museum and present it as a foretaste of the upcoming exhibition.
A valid museum ticket and confirmed registration for the concert are required to take part in the concert followed by a visit to the museum. Further information and the opportunity to register can be found at: khm.at/donnerstagabend
The Opera Studio is supported by Martin Schlaff.
Partner of the Opera Studio: Ibanez Atkinson Fundacion.
