Sveva Gargiulo
Sveva Gargiulo was born in Naples and educated at the Scuola di Ballo del Teatro alla Scala and the Ballet Academy of the Wiener Staatsoper. In 2014 she became a member of the Vienna State Ballet, in 2017 she was appointed demi-soloist.
Her versatile repertoire comprises Kitriʼs friend in Rudolf Nureyevʼs »Don Quixote«, Sarazenen-Duo in Nureyev’s »Raymonda«, Little Swan and Soloist in the Neapolitan and Hungarian dance in Nureyev’s »Swan Lake«, Luisa and Spanish dance (soloist) in Nureyev’s »The Nutcracker«, Moyna in Elena Tschernischova’s »Giselle«, countrywoman and Nubian slave (soloist) in Manuel Legris’ »Sylvia«, Swanilda's friend and spinner in Pierre Lacotte’s »Coppélia«, Zulméa and Odaliske in Manuel Legris’ »Le Corsaire« and Eva in Attila Bakó’s »The Fall«.
