Stiens works both as a dancer and as a choreographer in the fields of classical, neoclassical and contemporary dance with both traditional and experimental-conceptual approaches. For the 35th Stuttgarter Filmwinter in 2022, he created In my room with dancer and choreographer Shaked Heller, based on a film by Rainer Werner Fassbinder. Furthermore, he has created dance performances for projects such as Solid Transitions as part of Kunst in den Rohbauhallen Stuttgart 21 in 2023 and was part of the OOPS! tour by Peaches in 2019. Since 2023 he has been living and working as a freelance choreographer in Berlin. Current projects take him to Graz, Leipzig and Weimar. Louis Stiens will make his Vienna debut with the world premiere of High as part of the Vienna State Ballet premiere Creations.
