Benjamin Alexander
Benjamin Alexander was born in Canada. He was trained from 2013 to 2020 at Canada’s National Ballet School and attended a summer exchange of the Australian Ballet School. He gained stage experience in »The Nutcracker« with The National Ballet of Canada as well as in »La Bayadère« at the 7th Biennal Dance Education in Hamburg, at the Ballet Asteras Gala in Tokyo and as Solor in »La Bayadère« with Canada’s National Ballet School, where he also danced in Jera Wolfe's »Arise« and James Kudelka's »School«. While studying at Canada's National Ballet School, he received in 2020 the Christopher Ondaatje Ballet Prize for outstanding achievement and the Peter Dwyer Award. Since the 2022/23 season he has been a member of the corps de ballet of the Vienna State Ballet. His previous performances include parts in Martin Schläpfer's »The Sleeping Beauty« and Frederick Ashton's »La Fille mal gardée«.
