Meghan Lynch
The American Meghan Lynch was educated at The Academy of Dance Arts in Chicago. In 2013 she was the regional winner of the Youth America Grand Prix and was finalist at the Youth America Grand Prix in New York City in 2013 and 2015. In 2015/16 she received a scholarship for Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet and afterwards for the American Ballet Theatre Studio Company, where she danced, among others, in ballets by Ethan Stiefel and Liam Scarlett. Her first engagement led her to the Texas Ballet Theatre in the 2017/18 season, followed by the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. From 2019 to 2021 she danced with the Finnish National Ballet. Her repertoire includes Alexei Ratmansky's »Seven Sonatas«, Jerome Robbins’ »The Concert«, George Balanchine's »Serenade« as well as choreographies by Wayne McGregor, Natalia Makarova, Alexander Ekman and Akram Khan. Since the 2022/23 season she has been a member of the corps de ballet of the Vienna State Ballet. So far, she performed as Aurora's friend in Martin Schläpfer's »The Sleeping Beauty«, in Schläpfer's »Marsch, Walzer, Polka«, friend in Frederick Ashton's »La Fille mal gardée«, Swanildaʼs friend in Pierre Lacotteʼs »Coppélia« and in George Balanchine's »Symphony in C«.
