Alisha Brach

The American Alisha Brach received her versatile education at the Ballet Repertory Theatre as well as at Dance Theatre of the Southwest in Albuquerque, furthermore at the San Francisco Ballet School (with half scholarship), the University of New Mexico, the American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School – with Susan Jaffe and Kevin McKenzie – and as a trainee with the Los Angeles Ballet. In addition, she took part in summer intensive programs and masterclasses of the Pacific Northwest Ballet, Jacob’s Pillow dance center, San Francisco Ballet School, American Ballet Theatre in Orange County and the Jillana School in Taos. She gained stage experience with the New Mexico Ballet Company and the New York Choreographic Institute, among others. Engagements took her to the Los Angeles Ballet, Royal Swedish Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, Ballet de l'Opéra de Paris and recently to the Ballet Nice Méditerranée. Her most important roles include the Queen of the Dryads in Éric Vu-An's »Don Quichotte«, Louisa in August Bournonville's »Pontemolle« as well as soloist roles in Wayne McGregor's »Infra« and »AfteRite«, John Neumeier's »La dame aux camélias« and George Balanchine's »Concerto Barocco« with the Ballet de l'Opéra de Paris. Furthermore, she danced in works by Alexander Ekman, Harald Lander, Pontus Lidberg, Liam Scarlett and Christopher Wheeldon. Since the 2022/23 season she has been a member of the corps de ballet of the Vienna State Ballet. So far, she has appeared in Martin Schläpfer's »The Sleeping Beauty«, Frederick Ashton's »La Fille mal gardée« and George Balanchine's »Symphony in C«.
