Bettina Gradinger
Bettina Gradinger studied with Josef Birkus-Kigó and Prof. Alexander Arenkow at the Vienna Conservatory and with Prof. Gerhard Schulz at the Vienna Academy of Music. As a teenager she was co-founder and concertmaster of the Wiener Kammerphilharmonie, and since 1993 she has been concertmaster of the Vienna Volksoper Orchestra. She has also appeared as concertmaster with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the Camerata Salzburg and the Austro-Hungarian Haydn Philharmonic Orchestra under Adam Fischer. Solo performances with Yehudi Menuhin, Hans Vonk, Bertrand de Billy and Kirill Petrenko as well as her chamber music activities have taken her throughout Europe and overseas. Her prizes include 2nd prize at the International ARD Music Competition in Munich in 1995.
