Marta Schiumarini
Marta Schiumarini, born in 2002 in Italy, received her dance education at Balletto di Toscana with Cristina Bozzolini and at the Ballet Academy of Vienna State Opera with Karen Henry, Galina Skuratova and Vladimir Shishov. She participated in several workshops, including the Académie Princesse Grace Monte Carlo as well as the Royal Ballet School London, the Barcelona Dance Project and with Isabelle Ciaravola at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Lyon. During her training, Marta Schiumarini won awards at international competitions, such as 2nd prize in classical repertoire and 3rd prize in contemporary choreography at the Como Lake Dance Award in 2019. As a member of the Junior Company of the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera in the 2020/21 season she performed in operettas at the Volksoper Wien, such as »Die Fledermaus« and »Das Land des Lächelns«. From the 2021/22 season Marta Schiumarini has been a member of the corps de ballet of Vienna State Ballet. She danced so far, among others, in Vesna Orlić's »Peter Pan«, Rudolf Nureyev's »Swan Lake«, Lotte de Beer's & Andrey Kaydanovskiy's »Jolanthe and the Nutcracker« as well as in Martin Schläpfer's »Sinfonie Nr. 15«, »Ein Deutsches Requiem« and »Drittes Klavierkonzert«.
