Michel Ronvaux
The set and costume designer Michel Ronvaux graduated from École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Théâtre (Lyon) and has been more than 30 years head of costume workshop at the l’Opéra national de Paris, afterwards head of production. During his career he dedicated himself to numerous fields of work such as opera (also baroque and contemporary), operetta, performance, film, TV-film, videoclip, varieté, circus, dance, ballet and gala programs, working with many stage directors and choreographers. Since 2008 he is responsible for the set and costume design of the Festival Jacques Offenbach à Etretat and is working regularly with the stage director Yves Coudray.
For Pierre Lacotte’s ballet »Coppélia«, which had its premiere with the Vienna State Ballet in 2019 at the Volksoper Vienna, he did the realization of the costumes after the Paris original designs from 1870.
