Sinthia Liz

The Brazilian Sinthia Liz completed her training in 2014 at the Escola Estadual De Dança Maria Olenewa in Rio de Janeiro and during this time also gained her first stage experience in the Corps de ballet of the Theatro Municipal do Estado Rio de Janeiro. From 2015 to 2018, she danced as a scholarship holder of the Heinz-Bosl-Stiftung in the ensemble of the Bavarian Junior Ballet Munich under Ivan Liška in choreographies by George Balanchine, August Bournonville, Nacho Duato and Ray Bara as well as in the ensemble of the Bavarian State Ballet in, among others, works by John Neumeier, Marius Petipa and Christopher Wheeldon. From 2018 to 2020 she was a member of the Ballett am Rhein Düsseldorf Duisburg, where she was seen in works by Martin Chaix, Mark Morris, Martin Schläpfer and Remus Şucheană. Since September 2020 Sinthia Liz has been a member of the Corps de ballet of the Vienna State Ballet. Her Viennese repertoire includes the fairy Candide in Martin Schläpfer's premiere of »The Sleeping Beauty«, First bridesmaid in Nureyev’s »Don Quixote« as well as parts in George Balanchine's »Jewels«, »Symphony in Three Movements« and »Symphony in C«, John Cranko's »Onegin«, Elena Tchernichova's »Giselle«, Andrey Kaydanovskiy's world premiere »lux umbra«, Merce Cunningham's »Duets«, Paul Taylor's »Promethean Fire« and Martin Schläpfer's world premieres of »4«, Neue Pizzicato-Polka in »Marsch, Walzer, Polka« and »The Seasons«.
