Dragos Gabriel Musat
The Romanian Dragos Musat started his training at the Ballet School in Bucharest. Two years later he received a full scholarship for the Choreographic Ballet Academy in Kiev. In 2008 he completed his education at the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera where he studied with Valentin Onoschko, Alejandro Parente and Bella Ratschinskaia and graduated in June 2014. During this time, he already performed in Gyula Harangozó's sen. »Coppélia« and the Opera Ball 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 as well as in the New Year's Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic.
In the 2014/15 season he was a member of the Juniorcompany of the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera. Since September 2015 he is dancing with the Vienna State Ballet. His repertoire comprises Black Swan in Vesna Orlić's »Carmina Burana« and Tigerlily's brother in »Peter Pan« and parts in Rudolf Nureyev's »Swan Lake«, Vesna Orlić's »1001 Nacht«, Thierry Malandain's »Don Juan« and »Cendrillon«, András Lukács' »Bolero«, Andrey Kaydanovskiy's »Das hässliche Entlein«, Davide Bombanaʼs »Roméo et Juliette«, Lotte de Beer's & Andrey Kaydanovskiy's »Jolanthe and the Nutcracker«, Paul Taylorʼs »Dandelion Wine«, Karole Armitageʼs »Ligeti Essays« as well as Martin Schläpfer's »4«, »Sinfonie Nr. 15«, »Ein Deutsches Requiem«, »Die Jahreszeiten« and »Drittes Klavierkonzert«. Furthermore, he performed in musicals, operettas and operas at the Volksoper Wien and operas at the Vienna State Opera such as a solo role in »Aida«.
