Austrian Music Theater Prize

The Austrian Music Theater Prize was awarded for the twelfth time this year. This prize is awarded for outstanding achievements in Austria's opera houses and theaters and the colorful Austrian festival landscape. Productions from the previous season are submitted by the theaters and evaluated by a renowned jury of media representatives and internationally active artists and theater managers.

The 2024 Music Theater Award was presented at a gala matinee at the Volksoper on 1 September 2024. 

Harald Serafin, honorary member of the Volksoper, was awarded the special prize for his "lifetime achievement" at the award ceremony.
