Dominika Ambrus
The Hungarian Dominika Ambrus received her education at the Ballet School Győr (2005-2009) and the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera (2009-2014). In 2014/15 she was a member of the Junior Company of the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera. In 2015 she joined the Vienna State Ballet. Her most important roles at the Volksoper Wien include the title role in Thierry Malandain’s »Cendrillon«, the Princess in Vesna Orlić’s »Tausendundeine Nacht«, Tinker Bell in Orlić’s »Peter Pan«, a rabbit in Lotte de Beerʼs & Andrey Kaydanovskiyʼs »Jolanthe and the Nutcracker« as well as parts in Davide Bombana’s »Roméo et Juliette«, Orlić’s »Carmina Burana«, András Lukács’ »Bolero« and Paul Taylorʼs »Dandelion Wine«. At the Vienna State Opera, she has been dancing in Rudolf Nureyev’s »The Nutcracker« and »Swan Lake« and in Harald Lander’s »Études«. Furthermore, she has been dancing in several musicals, operettas and operas at the Volksoper Wien as well as operas in the Vienna State Opera.
