Julia Köhler
Born in Germany, Julia Köhler trained at the Mainz Ballet School, the Russian Ballet College in Genova and from 2021 at the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera. In 2023/24 she was a member of the Youth Company of the Vienna State Opera Ballet Academy. Her most important teachers include Nina Bakhareva, Kinsun Chan, Francesca Frassinelli, Robert Gabdullin, Igor Mamonov, Juliette Rahon, Angela Residori, Vladimir Shishov, Regina van Berkel and Martin Schläpfer.
Further stage experience she has gained in several galas in France, Russia, Germany and Italy. She has also appeared in performances at the Vienna State Opera Ballet Academy, including the title role in La Sylphide by August Bournonville and in Kinsun Chanʼs JIT in 2023 and in 2024 in Martin Schläpfer's Tänze. With the Vienna State Ballet she has previously danced in Tchernichova's Giselle, Nureyev's Swan Lake, Balanchine's Symphony in C and Lacotte's Coppélia. Since the 2024/25 season, Julia Köhler has been a member of the Corps de ballet of the Vienna State Ballet (maternity leave replacement).
