Junnosuke Nakamura
The Japanese Junnosuke Nakamura was educated at the Acri Horimoto Ballet Academy in Saitama and at Canada’s National Ballet School with Alexander Gorbatsevich, among others. In 2018 he was engaged at the Tulsa Ballet, in 2020 he joined the Hungarian National Ballet, where he danced in »The Nutcracker«, »La Fille mal gardée«, »Mayerling« and »Paquita-Suite«, among others. His awards include the 1st prize at the All Japan Ballet Competition in 2015, in 2016 a scholarship at the Prix de Lausanne and the 1st prize at the NBA Japan National Competition. In 2018 he received the Lawrence Haskett Scholarship Award. Since the 2022/23 season he has been a member of the corps de ballet of the Vienna State Ballet. He danced so far, among others, a page in Martin Schläpfer’s The Sleeping Beauty, Frederick Ashton’s La Fille mal gardée, George Balanchine's Symphony in C, Mark Morris’ Beaux, Heinz Spoerli’s Goldberg Variations, Rudolf Nureyev’s Don Quixote, Elena Tchernichova's Giselle and Pierre Lacotte’s Coppélia.
