Der Krieg der Knöpfe
(War of the Buttons)
A musical theater adventure for the whole family by Johanna Arrouas
France, 100 years ago
The children of the two neighboring villages of Longeverne and Velrans have been fighting each other for years. One day, one of the gangs takes a prisoner and cuts off the buttons of his clothes. The parents react to the brawls and broken pants with severity. That is why both gangs must come up with new tactics. But isn't cooperation and togetherness more important than fighting each other?
The stage version, written by Johanna Arrouas, is based on the classic children's book of the same name by Louis Pergaud. The captivating adventure story has been adapted for the screen several times and is now a cult classic. Well-known chansons convey a French attitude to life.
