Have a great summer!

Wherever you spend the summer months, sweating in the office, on your own balcony, somewhere by the sea or in the mountains, we wish you a good time with hopefully the right summer music and a cool drink. We look forward to seeing you again in autumn!

We open the new season on 1 September with the operetta Die Fledermaus. The first premiere is on 15 September and is dedicated to a very special work: Richard Strauss' opera Salome. The second premiere on 24 September, the family piece Aristocats, shows just how diverse the Volksoper is.

Costume flea market

There will be a big costume flea market on Saturday, 2 September 2023 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on the rehearsal stage of the Volksoper (Severingasse 7/corner of Wilhelm-Exner-Gasse)
