Alexander Brok
When were you first enchanted by (musical) theatre? And by what?
As a small child, I was taken to all kinds of theatre and dance performances. But when I saw the musical Les Misérables for the first time, I was completely mesmerised by the interplay of music, image and story.
Why do people sing and why don't they speak?
The voice as a reflection of our soul simply needs the music to come into its own.
What role can/should musical theatre play in today's society?
Musical theatre is a wonderful escape from reality into a world in which music, play and images challenge the imagination.
