The chamber opera „Schoenberg in Hollywood” by American composer Tod Machover was unveiled in Boston just recently in November 2018, and centres around composer Arnold Schoenberg’s Hollywood meeting with film producer Irving Thalberg.

The work tells the story of Arnold Schoenberg’s life through various flashbacks and transports us to Vienna at the turn of the century.
