Broadway in the 1910s to 1930s: The ‘Ziegfeld Follies’, a glamorous and highly popular revue series created by the influential Broadway producer Florenz Ziegfeld, shaped the show scene of the time, bringing forth stars and starlets as well as numerous songs that went down in music history. At the same time, Cole Porter and the Gershwins were producing world-famous works, including Anything Goes and Porgy and Bess.
