The composer and conductor Robert Stolz (1880–1975) was lifelong connected to the Volksoper. As a young conductor, he stood at the podium here, celebrated successful premieres, and returned again and again as a conductor. He was also made the first honorary member of the institution.
On the 50th anniversary of Robert Stolz's death, Ulrike Steinsky gathers members of the ensemble in remembrance of the great Austrian citizen of the world and the unyielding world-class musician.
