Felix Lemke

Felix Lemke studied conducting at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in his hometown of Berlin with Prof. Hans-Dieter Baum and Prof. Rolf Reuter. During this time, he gave several concerts with the Elblandphilharmonie Riesa, the Neubrandenburg and the Berlin Symphonic Orchestra. After starting his career as a repetiteur at the Anhaltischen Theater Dessau, his path led him to the Landestheater Detmold where he worked for many years as solo repetiteur, choir director and director of studies. There he conducted, among others, »Don Pasquale«, »Die Zauberflöte«, »Hänsel und Gretel«, »Der Barbier von Sevilla«, Händel's »Orlando«, »Die Fledermaus«, »Gräfin Mariza«, »Schwarzwaldmädel«, »Les Misérables«, »Sugar«, »Sweet Charity«, »Ein Tango für Toulouse-Lautrec« as well as ballet productions and children's concerts. Felix Lemke also gained valuable experience as deputy choir director at Oper Frankfurt in the 2012/13 season. At the Volksoper Wien he has been engaged as deputy director of studies and solo repetiteur with conducting duties since 2013. There he conducted »Die lustige Witwe«, the ballet production »Das hässliche Entlein / 1001 Nacht«, »Die Räuber« and »Marilyn Forever«. In February 2023 he plays in the premiere of the ballet production »Promethean Fire« the Cembalo part in Bohuslav Martinů's Concerto for harpsichord and small orchestra H. 246 and No. 1 Lento from »Deux Pièces« for Cembalo H. 244. in Mark Morris' ballet »Beaux«.
